The DP4401e is a high quality UHF/VHF digital two way radio from Motorola. One of the latest radios from Motorola, the replacement for the DP4401 the e on the end of this products name stands for enhanced which rings true with the DP4401e.

An extremely durable radio the DP4401e is built to IP68 protection standard. This rating ensures that the radio has a full Ingres protection against dust intrusion whilst also being fully submergible in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The DP4401e is MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G also, this ensures that the radio is capable of performing in a variety of environmental conditions whilst also being able to withstand varying levels of vibration and shock.

32 channels mean that the radio is more than capable of providing communications for a medium to large sized workforce. With these 32 channels both individual and group calls can be made, this meaning that should you have an important message that needs to remain private then this is a possibility with the DP4401e. Channel scanning is a possibility allowing for one of your channels to be programmed to continuously scan through over channels, only stopping once a transmission has been found enabling you to listen in.

There are many functions that the DP4401e has at its disposal that help with both worker safety and efficiency. VOX capabilities allow for the radio to be used hands free alongside compatible accessories, with the microphone picking up on the sound of your voice rather than having to press the PTT button. Transmit interrupt is a feature that allows for an urgent transmission to be push through any ongoing communications, this broadcasting on all channels will let radio users know should there be an ongoing incident or emergency that they need to be aware of due to security or safety concerns.

The look and feel of the DP4401e is very much of a black box. This radio has both a volume/power knob and channel knob on top of the radio to the left hand side of the antenna. Just in front of this is a Tri-Colour LED that provides radio status updates to the user whilst on the face of the radio is just a speaker and the Motorola branding. On the right hand side of the DP4401e is both a textured PTT button and multiple programmable buttons, whereas on the left is where accessories can be connected via the use of the DP accessory connector.
